The test is 40 questions in length half that of the real test ~ more later.

Here are my notes on the RAE which I hope will be of assistance to people wanting to pass this exam and apply or a license to operate amateur radio.

Where there is a green sidebar this indicates that you should complete the missing text or drawing as an exercise.

Either look it up or try and work out what is missing.  This way you will learn quicker.

Now you can load down the Radio Amateurs Calculator and check those calculations
If you require it vbrun200.dll  Only for Windows 95/98/ME

Just make a folder then transfer both files to it.  If your machine already has the DLL installed just transfer the EXE.
It will do no harm to take both files if in doubt.

The course includes all the material on Electronic Theory,  Receivers,  Transmitters,  Interference,  Measurement, Power Supplies and Antenna..  There may be some  small changes and additional info over the next few weeks but its now more or less complete.  I have indexed the notes and the index is now available.

I have now made some progress with the testing software.  This only works properly with internet Explorer V 6 at the moment.
With Netscape 7.1 you can take the test but the timer does not display correctly.    If you are using Macintosh or Unix Programs or other browsers I shall be interested to receive emails  on whether it works or not.

Click here to preview the test page.  There are only 40 questions at present this is half the length of the rae test.
